Mawarid’s Oman Mining and Processing operations are located in the Al Batinah region (near the U.A.E. border to the north of Sohar), in the north-east of the Arabian Peninsula. Copper Mining has been carried out in the Al Batinah region for approximately 6000 years and Mawarid is taking its place as the most recent participant in a long held tradition.
